Metal Buildings: The Solution You've Been Looking For
SPOILER ALERT: You end up choosing a metal building…
Don’t you just hate spoilers? A spoiler is what happens when you haven’t seen a movie and someone who has seen it tells you how it ends. For example:
- Bruce Willis is really a ghost.
- Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father.
- Thanos wipes out half of the Avengers at the end.
Just like that, the suspense is gone because you know exactly where the movie is headed. It’s so frustrating!
However, in the case of the spoiler alert at the beginning of this blog, the goal is to save you frustration, not cause it.
You see, the fact that you’re reading this blog means that you have a project in mind and you’re weighing the pros and cons of different building materials. If that’s the case, then you don’t need to look any further…
A metal building is the answer that you’re looking for.Are we moving too fast?
“Wait!” youmight say, “I haven’t even told you about my project yet.”
Okay, goahead:
- I’m redoing my roof.
While it’s true that you have many options here, we definitely recommend a metal roof.Sure, you can always hop up onto your roof in 100+ degree weather and put news hingles on. We won’t deny that this is an option. Some people even seem to enjoy it, putting on layer after layer over the years until they eventually have to strip the whole thing off and start again. If this is one of your hobbies, have at it.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for an affordable and long-lasting solution, you’ll want to go with a metal roof. According to Central States Manufacturing (an industry leader in metal building components) metal roofs:
- Are a permanent roofing solution, they last 2-3 times longer than shingles
- Are durable, they stand up to even the worst weather conditions
- Are attractive, they come in a wide range of colors
- And they’re economical, they can save you up to 25% in energy costs
- I’m building a detached garage/a storage building/a workshop.
Many of you are probably do-it-yourselfers. You enjoy tackling a project from the initial plan to the final product, and that’s great. You like hunting for all of the right materials on your own and then bringing them home and assembling them. However, if you’re not so handyman-inclined, if your last project collapsed with the first gust (or puff) of wind, or if your creations end up looking like the Frankenstein’s monster version of whatever you set out to build (complete with neighbors coming over with torches to burn it down), there’s a better way to go!
Metal buildings are a great alternative to the hodge-podge approach. You can go with a customizable Red Iron Building, a Post Frame Building made to your specifications, or an easy-to-assemble Centra Series Building. The choice is yours. And, rather than inspiring fear and horror in your neighbors, you’ll inspire jealousy over how great it looks.
- We’relooking for a new home, but we’re dreaming on a budget…
Ever dream of having room to breathe? While some people enjoy living an arm’s length from their neighbor, if you’re not a fan of looking out your window straight into your neighbor’s kitchen, then you might want to consider an alternative.
Imagine finding a great piece of land that’ll give you the space that you’re looking for, away from prying eyes and nosy neighbors. Now all you need is a greathouse to go with it! Metal houses are a great, affordable alternative to a lot of options you’ll find on the market today. Plus, you can customize your layout to an extent that’s just not possible with most prefab homes.
- Ourchurch has some land, but we need a new building.
That’s great news! Now it’s possible that you have millions of dollars to invest in a new facility to go on your property. Plenty of salespeople will tell you that you need to invest in a super expensive new building to draw people in. But, if you’re wanting to have an incredible facility (outside AND inside), you may want to consider a more stewardship-friendly approach.
Again, metal buildings are great for any project. You can draw up a plan that fits your vision and go to work constructing it for much less than you would’ve spent on the cookie-cutter church building the salesman wanted to push on you. And think of all of the great things you can afford to do on the inside of the facility to make it as welcoming as possible for all of the visitors who will come to check you out.
- My wife keeps making me sleep in the living room, so I want a man cave.
Admittedly, a metal building is probably not going to solve all of your marriage problems. It won’t unsay the comment that landed you in the doghouse or give your wife the compliment she was looking for on her new blouse/skirt/hair style (which, ofcourse, you DIDN’T notice AGAIN). And it won’t warm up the cold shoulder that she’s giving you…
However, itcan give you a safe and comfortable place to ride out the storm. And, as you’ve seen, there are a TON of options for you to choose from. Just be aware that the futon sofa bed and flat screen are not included.
